Located at 13330 Paseo Del Verano Norte, this charming eatery redefines the concept of casual dining amidst a winery setting. The vibrant atmosphere invites guests to enjoy delectable dishes while sipping on exquisite wines, creating an experience that captivates all the senses.

The menu at The Kitchen offers a delightful assortment of dishes, from wood-fired ciabatta boards to luscious housemade lasagna. One standout is their captivating charcuterie board, available for just US$32.00, which showcases a selection of fine meats and cheeses, perfectly paired with an array of accompaniments. The 2022 Oro Di Bernardo sparkling wine, priced at US$15.00, is an excellent choice to elevate your tasting experience.

In my recent visit, I found the ambiance both relaxing and familial, reminiscent of a gathering among friends. The service was exceptional, with staff being not only friendly but genuinely enthusiastic about sharing their menu recommendations. Diners can enjoy their meals indoors or on the sun-drenched patio, making every meal feel like a special occasion.

The pasta selection, particularly the Cacio A Pepe W/Shrimp, has received acclaim for its rich flavors that marry seamlessly with a glass of wine. Each dish I sampled echoed the commitment to fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation.

For those seeking a more casual setting, the fast-casual approach allows guests to navigate the menu at their own pace. A hint of nostalgia surfaced as longtime visitors noted the resemblance to the beloved Cafe Merlot, though with an exciting new twist. The kitchen has evidently prioritized high-quality dishes that resonate with both newcomers and returning guests alike.

Came to have lunch with family and shop at the farmers market. We love dining outdoors. You just find a table, review the menu, go to the cashier and order and pay for your food. Servers will deliver food at your table. Service was quick. Staff are friendly. We had the Parmesan fries. So delicious. The salad was so refreshing. The pizzas were very tasty. The crust is so good. The pasta is flavorful. We were very pleased.

Hot Ciabata bread awesome. Ordered with Prosciutto & salami as well as buratta, olive, and tomato. Prosciutto quite thick, unusual. Bit too much balsamic with olive oil. Spaghetti al Dante. Meatballs nice. Sauce quite nice. Paired well with wine. Didn't try pizza or charcuterie but want to try next time. From tasting flight, white taste the beat over rose, burgundy.

I do miss Cafe Merlot and this is a little bit more fast casual self-serve, but honestly they have the loveliest charcuterie!

What a great restaurant at the Bernardo Winery. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch before walking around the cute winery and do some shopping in the boutiques on site. There are lots of outdoor tables to choose from and most are shaded. It opens at 11am and it was busy soon after. We went on a weekday too. You can get wines from the tasting room or delicious coffee from Manzanita next door. You order from the counter and your food will be delivered to your table. Everything we had was delicious though the pizza was a little on the burnt side from the wood fired oven.

What a little gem. Rustic setting for wine tasting, food and shopping. Order food first, then go to the wine tasting for pairing recommendations. They allow you to tastes before you purchase a glass of wine. The nice part about this winery is that you can walk around with your wine!
